Isochronic Tones: An Extraordinary Tool For Mind Training

What are Isochronic tones? Do they work? How do they affect the body and the mind and how often should one use them to start seeing the benefits?

Have you ever come across a weird beeping sound in the background of relaxing music tracks on YouTube and didn’t know what that was? These pulses are Isochronic Tones. It’s time you get acquainted with these tones because you can gain a whole lot out of them.

Isochronic tones have been discovered in 1981 by the researcher Arturo Manns.

He discovered that therapy using Isochronic pulses that go on and off can induce a reaction from the brainwaves.

In other words, the brain can easily synchronize with external sounds or vibrations.

The Way Isochronic Tones Work

We naturally have brainwaves operating in our brains and using this technique can help us tune into a desired state of mind within minutes!

When you use Isochronic tones, your brain adapts to the external frequencies and aligns itself according to them. Solfeggio frequencies are my go-to when it comes to healing and relaxation.

Unlike Binaural Beats, Isochronic tones are singular pulses of sound at different intervals that come and go according to a pre-set pattern.

Binaural beats work a bit differently — each ear is exposed to a different tone and the brain syncs with the difference of the frequencies.

Manns, later on, conducted additional studies and that brought Isochronic Tones to the spotlight and they became the leading technology in Brainwave Entrainment or Sound Therapy.

However, Binaural Beats are still more well-known to the public.

I personally prefer using Isochronic tones over Binaural Beats because I find them to work faster. Moreover, headphones are not required (but I still use them to get faster results).

The downside of Isochronic Tones is that some people can’t really fall asleep while listening to mind training tracks and the beeping sounds may be too loud in the background.

I got used to these tones, so I can meditate or fall asleep while I play Isochronic tones without any disturbance. It all comes down to trial and error and personal preferences.

Further studies that came after found that binaural sounds influence only the hearing channel and the brain while Isochronic tones impact the entire body vibrations. For example — deaf people could identify sound vibrations based on the vibrations their body picked on.

Advantages of Isochronic Tones

  • Promote a sense of peace.
  • Increase production of “good” and “happy” chemicals and hormones like melatonin for sleep and endorphins for joy and satisfaction.
  • Immediate influence starting from first exposure.
  • Lower symptoms of anxiety, stress, depression, and tension.
  • Heighten awareness and intuition.
  • Improve creativity and imagination abilities.
  • Enhance positive emotions.
  • Provide a sense of balance because both hemispheres sync together.
  • Give energy, optimism, and hopefulness.

Most of the Isochronic tracks consist of Theta and Alpha brainwaves to bring about general calmness, tranquility, clarity, and deep relaxation.

Alpha waves are produced usually when you’re daydreaming and practicing meditation. This state of wakeful rest can boost creativity and reduce depression.

Theta state is when slower waves take place when you’re deeply relaxed or in the early stages of sleep.

With meditation, it requires a lot of time and practice to get away from the alertness beta mode and reaching that quiet awake state of a daydream or deep relaxation.

But with Isochronic tones, there’s no former experience required. All you need to do is choose recordings that resonate with you most and allow the calming Isochronic pulses to wash over you.

How To Use

As I mentioned above, headphones are not mandatory, but I still use them because I notice a faster brainwave shift.

You can use Isochronic tones when you’re in the comfort of your own home. The best practice would be to play Isochronic tones when lying down in a comfortable position and closing your eyes.

It’s also possible to play Isochronic tones in the background as long as you’re not performing any activity that requires your undivided attention. So, for example, if you rather listen to Isochronic tones while you’re busy checking your Facebook, that’s ok.

Limit your exposure to one hour per day. Your brain tunes into these calming frequencies almost immediately, so an hour is definitely enough. Even 15–30 minutes a day is plenty.

The Isochronic tones’ purpose in my programs is to help your mind absorb the uplifting, healthy beliefs. As your mind is relaxed and at ease, the messages can go through much more efficiently.

Is It Safe To Use Isochronic Technology

There are many Isochronic recordings online.

In my subliminal brainwave library, you can find plenty of sessions that include Isochronic tones.

Whatever you choose, make sure not to listen while driving and/or whenever you need to focus on a task. If you are suffering from epilepsy attacks, avoid using Isochronic tones.

In addition, as I said earlier, don’t listen for more than an hour per day.

If you experience any negative side effects like headaches or worries, don’t force yourself to listen. Like any method, the rule of thumb is your sensations while practicing.

The influence itself has to do with the individual and what works for you, so not every tone will be right for you. Use trial and error, advice with your healthcare provider prior to trying until you find the tones and sounds that are your best fit.

For example, some people will not feel comfortable with chakra opening tones if they have no idea what chakras are or not used to work on them. It happens because the body is not trained enough to deal with removing energetic blockages so that’s why some Isochronic sounds may make some feel uneasy.

It’s not because Isochronic tones are not safe, but because these specific frequencies may be too advanced for you. So again, listen to your body and your sensations rather than forcing yourself to do something.

In Summary

Isochronic tones are an excellent tool to help yourself reach the ideal state of mind to bring relaxation and relieve worrying and stress.

Millions of people around the world have been practicing Isochronic technology for personal growth purposes.

If you want to take a pause from the ongoing draining, sleep-depriving anxiety-inducing high beta waves and train your mind to stimulate alpha waves through soothing sounds, Isochronic tones are the easiest, effortless ways to do that.
